The Neurodivergent Publishing Conference is a virtual conference for neurodivergent folks in the writing and publishing sphere to come together, connect, and grow together. It is a space for us, by us.
Inspired by conversations in our Facebook groups, the NPC was born to provide a space for networking, learning, and developing skills geared specifically toward neurodivergent people because, frankly, there isn’t much out there for us. There’s a lot about us, but not enough for us by us.
With that comes our commitment to inclusivity. We heavily prefer neurodivergent speakers at this conference, but in addition to prioritizing those voices, we also want to encourage and uplift other marginalized groups, such as those with physical disabilities, LGBTQIA+ voices, and non-white voices (as well as non-American voices). Over time, we hope to expand our ability to include those people in our speakers list and take DEI seriously.
Disability access is something in the forefront of our minds as we plan and work out our conference and its offerings. While we cannot always accommodate everyone at all times, we want to do our best and are striving toward that goal.
